Jay leads the market analysis coverage with a regional focus on MENA from the Vortexa office in Dubai, providing extensive coverage on regional and global trade flows. Leveraging his industry expertise, he has driven a number of significant product and analysis development initiatives at Vortexa while covering crude oil and refined product markets.

Before joining Vortexa, Jay was a senior reporter for Argus Media in London, covering European oil markets, storage and refinery developments. He has also reported on commodity derivatives, regulation, risk management and technology in the energy trading industry. Prior to establishing a career in energy, Jay obtained a BSc in Actuarial Science from the London School of Economics.
