Iryna is a Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) at Vortexa based in London, with four years of experience within SaaS companies. Currently Iryna is setting up the foundations of the BDR role at Vortexa. Outside of work, Iryna enjoys reading, baking, and dreams of one day owning a Westland Terrier.

Before joining the company, Iryna worked as a BDR in a MarTech SaaS company in London.

Fun fact: Iryna holds a Master’s degree in law and spent a year working as a paralegal. However, she made the decision to pivot to sales and has never looked back.

What does day-to-day life in your role look like?

In my day-to-day I analyse inquiries, reach out to prospects, and develop strategies to keep them interested, all helping to schedule more high-quality demos for Vortexa.

In addition, when we sponsor or organise events, I assist the marketing team in increasing attendance and scheduling more meetings for our sales team.

What would you say is the most interesting aspect of your role?

It is the experiments. I love creating strategies from scratch and testing various hypotheses to see what works best. Seeing good results is satisfying.

What was your path to joining Vortexa?

I worked as a BDR and Account Executive at various global SaaS companies, but I always wanted to join a startup where I could help set up the foundations and support growth at scale. This desire led me to Vortexa, where I saw the perfect opportunity to apply my experience and make a meaningful impact.

[Vortexa] is a great place to grow professionally and personally.
What kind of qualities does a person need to have to succeed at Vortexa?

Be passionate about your work, flexible, curious and team player.

What do you like about the culture?

Vortexa is a very collaborative and dynamic place. Everybody is open to new ideas and constructive dialogue. It is a great place to grow professionally and personally.

Who do you collaborate with?

I collaborate with many teams: Marketing, Sales, Product Specialists and Revenue Operations.

What are the first three things you do on a Monday morning?

I make coffee, check demo requests, emails, and meet with the team to set priorities for the week.

What energises you most about working as a Senior Business Development Representative at Vortexa?

The best part of my role is to build the foundations for the BDR role. I enjoy creating and refining processes that will help Vortexa grow globally.
