Rohit is Vortexa’s Senior Oil Market Analyst in Vortexa’s America’s team. Rohit has a Masters in Energy Management and Systems Technology from NYIT and 9 years of Market Analysis experience.

Fun fact: Rohit likes to attend a haunted/ghost tour in every new city he visits, even though he has never actually seen a ghost and doesn’t know if they exist.

We wanted to find out what inspired Rohit to join Vortexa, what some of his biggest milestones have been to date and what day-to-day life really looks like for the Senior Oil Market Analyst…

What inspired you to join Vortexa?

Throughout the interview process, I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful set of analysts whom I can now proudly call my colleagues. These people and my initial interactions with them inspired me to join Vortexa.

What would you say is the most interesting aspect of your role?

The most interesting aspect of my role would be the work which we as the analyst team put out and get recognition for from Vortexa’s users and the broader analyst community.

What have been some significant milestone moments for you at Vortexa?

For me it would be completing my first year in this role at Vortexa, which coincidentally happens to be this month!

The culture at Vortexa is very professional but at the same time very collaborative.
What does day-to-day life look like for you as the Senior Oil Market Analyst?

No single day is the same. I stay up to date with market developments and observations, and of course they use our data to validate those observations. Another aspect which might not happen on a daily basis but is important is the regular meeting of our clients in-person and/or virtually to present our market updates.

What key qualities make a Senior Oil Market Analyst successful?

I would say attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with other analysts. Finally, just a keen eye on market developments and keeping an open mind towards multiple and sometimes conflicting views from other analysts in the market.

How would you describe the culture at Vortexa?

The culture at Vortexa is very professional but at the same time very collaborative. Also the people are very helpful and always ready to help and guide you whenever you’re stuck on anything.

Throughout the interview process, I had the opportunity to meet a wonderful set of analysts whom I can now proudly call my colleagues.
What advice would you give to people hoping to join Vortexa?

I would say if you’re thinking of joining Vortexa, you won’t be disappointed. You would be working with a bunch of super helpful people who would always be there to help you settle in as well as grow within your role.

Describe your working life at Vortexa in three words!
